1) Click on the Start Button and choose "Run" from the Start Menu

2) Type "cmd" in the box that pops up and click the OK Button

3) A black screen will pop up with a prompt for entering commands, at the prompt enter the command "ipconfig /all" and you should get information that looks similar to that displayed below.

4) Now you should see your physical address, if you on the dorm network make sure you are recording the one under the catagory "Local Area Connection" and not the wireless connection.
