Spam Helpdesk - Spam
SPAM, all caps, is a luncheon meat, is pink in color, comes in a can, and is made by Hormel.
Spam applies to Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE) or junk email.

The most common spam can be filtered at the mail server level. However, users can take further control by setting up filters on their personal email accounts or installing anti-spam software. Most email clients allow users to filter mail with certain words or email addresses.
Florida State University provides an anti-spam program called SpamAssassin that can be configured for UCS accounts.
