- Go to Start and then Control Panel. If it says Pick A
Category on the top, look to the left and click on Switch
to Classic View.
- Then look for the icon called Mail. Double click this
icon.
- (If you need to have multiple users on this computer checking
Outlook, you will want to set up profiles. Click on Show
Profiles and then Add. Then follow through the properties
of each.)
- Click Email Accounts
- Select Add a New Email Account and click Next.

- Select Microsoft Exchange Server and click Next.

- Fill out the next window as follows. For the ‘Microsoft
Exchange Server’, type 'fsu-dc-01.fsu.edu'
in the blank.
For 'User Name', type just your username (everything before
the @ symbol in your admin email address).

- Click on the More Settings button and choose the Security
Tab. Check the boxes for Encryption and User Identification.

- Click Apply and then OK. Back on the Exchange Settings
Screen, next to your username is a button called check name.
Click this button. A prompt for a username and password
might appear. You may need to type ‘ fsu ‘ and
a backslash in front of your username (see below).

- Click OK. If you get an error message, call (850) 644-HELP (4357). If your username converts to your full name, click
Next. Click Finish and then click OK or Close until you
are all the way back out to the Control Panel. You can close
the Control Panel and open Outlook. You will then be able
to access your email.
