OUTLOOK - ADMIN (MAC) Helpdesk - Email Clients (Outlook - Admin for MAC)

Creating a New Setup

Outlook can only use Exchange servers. You will not be able to setup POP or IMAP accounts in Outlook on the Mac.

  1. In Outlook's folder you will find a folder called Outlook Files, open it.
    You will find Outlook Settings, open it.





  2. Click on the New... button, to make a new profile.





  3. Give the profile a name.
  4. Type in fsu-dc-01.fsu.edu in the Microsoft Exchange server field.
  5. Enter your last name, first name into the Mailbox name.
  6. Click Test Settings.
  7. IF the settings are correct and the Test passes, a little window will pop-up just click the Create Profile button.





  8. Type in your Username, Password, and Domain (type FSU for the domain).
  9. Click Login.


    Editing an Existing Account





  10. After you've setup a profile, if you open Outlook Settings you will see a window like this.

    If you want to see all the profiles setup on this copy of Outlook or you want create another profile click Show Profiles.

    If you want to change the settings of this profile select Microsoft Exchange Server and click Properties.





  11. The only things you should need to ever change in here are the Microsoft Exchange server and Mailbox fields.
  12. Make what ever changes you need and click OK when done.
